Biography
Maj Matthew Hall Executive Officer, Combat Logistics Battalion 26

Major Matthew Hall, a native of Durant, Oklahoma joined the Marine Corps in May 2003. After completing boot camp in San Diego, CA in August 2003, he attended Artillery Scout Observer course in Fort Sill, OK. Upon completion, he attended the Naval Gunfire Liaison course in Coronado, CA. Receiving designation as a Forward Observer, he was assigned to Headquarters Battery, 2nd Battalion, 14th Marines in Grand Prairie, TX (2003 - 2006). During this time he was selected for the Platoon Leaders Course for commissioning.

After completing Officer Candidate School (2005) he was commissioned on May 19, 2006. Upon completion of The Basic School, 2ndLt Hall attended the Ground Supply Officers Course at Camp Johnson, NC. Upon completion of the course, he was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 3rd Marines in Kaneohe Bay, HI for duty as the Supply Officer. During this time, Lt Hall deployed to Fallujah, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2008) and Helmand Province, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (2009). In April of 2010 1stLt Hall was reassigned to 3rd Marine Regiment to serve as the Supply Officer.

In June 2010, 1stLt Hall was reassigned to Headquarters and Service Company, 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines to serve as the S-4 Inspector Instructor and Supply Officer. During this time Captain Hall deployed again to Helmand Province in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (2011) as the Battalion Supply Officer. Captain Hall also served as the Headquarters and Service Company Inspector Instructor during this time. Captain Hall was selected on to the FY (13) Commandant's Career-Level Education Board while serving with 1st Battalion, 23rd Marines.

After completion of the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course in Fort Lee, VA (2013 - 2014), Captain Hall was assigned as the Supply Officer for 8th Communication Battalion, II Marine Headquarters Group in Camp Lejeune, NC. Captain Hall was selected to and completed the Intermediate MAGTF Logistics Operations Course for designation as an Expeditionary Logistics Instructor during this time. In June 2016, Captain Hall was reassigned to serve as the Headquarters and Service Company Commander and Logistics Officer, MCCSSS. In August 2017, Major Hall was assigned as the Operations Officer for Ground Supply School where he was then subsequently selected to attend resident Command and Staff Course, Quantico. After completion, Major Hall was assigned as the Operations Officer for CLR 27. In June 2020 He was assigned as the Executive Officer of Combat Logistics Battalion 26 where he currently serves.

Major Hall's military and professional education includes a B.S. Southeastern Oklahoma State University (2006), Ground Supply Officers Course (2007), Tactical Logistics Officers Course (2008), Combined Logistics Captains Career Course (2013), Intermediate MAGTF Logistics Operations Course (2016), and resident Command and Staff with a Masters Degree in military studies (2019). His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with three gold stars, and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.

Mission

Provide scalable, expeditionary Logistics Combat Element (LCE) command and control for the MLG.  Serve as the LCE headquarters for a MEB, and when augmented, serve as the headquarters for the MLG Forward. Provide LCE command, control and coordination for prepositioning operations. Provide LCE support services to the MEF.  Provide the LCE for Marine Expeditionary Units (MEUs).
